Andrea K. Robbins, DC ND realized the benefits of chiropractic care while growing up in the office with her father who was a chiropractor for nearly 50 years... But she also grew up in a balanced environment because her mother was a registered nurse.
Initially, Dr. Robbins earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work in 1978 and became a drug and alcohol counselor. After several challenging years in that field, she went on to graduate with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1983.
She has trained under the author and founder of NAET, an allergy elimination technique that is revolutionizing the treatment of allergies and allergy related illnesses throughout the world and in her office. This technique of treating allergies and allergy related conditions relies heavily on acupuncture, chiropractic care, and kinesiology. Dr. Robbins is one of the most experienced practitioners of NAET in the state of GA.
When Dr. Robbins returned from a trip to China, where she studied the benefits of combining Eastern and Western healthcare techniques, she began the process of becoming a Naturopath. She received her board certification as a doctor of naturopathy in 2004.
Dr. Robbins uses western methods of testing such as IgG blood work to detect hidden allergies and hair mineral analysis to determine deficiencies and excesses of minerals. Then, she creates a treatment plan based on these testing results using many of the ancient treatment methods such as acupressure, chiropractic care, massage, nutrition, herbs, detoxification and other methods as needed. Now, with the addition of a symptom survey to her website, she is using those same methods to reach people all over the globe.
Dr. Robbins has had several successful chiropractic practices in two states and 2008 marks her 25th year in practice. She taught at Life Chiropractic College and was an adjunct professor for Texas Chiropractic College.
Now she uses her love of teaching in educating her patients on the importance of balance in their lives. She is a professional speaker, who has instructed in both the United States and Europe.
When asked to describe herself in her role as a doctor of naturopathy and chiropractic, Andrea replied:
"My gift is drawing correct conclusions from fragmented bits of evidence. It’s being able to combine everything I’ve ever studied with gut-feeling and instinct.”
Dr. Robbins is a person who practices balance in all things. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she has earned two black belts, practices Tai Chi, creates pottery, loves gardening and knitting, and also speaks Italian.
